Fantasy and science fiction writer Patricia Wrede, born on March 27th, has gone from financial analyst and accountant to a world of her own creation. Her books like The Chronicles of the Enchanted Forest (1980’s and 1990’s) and her first title Shadow Magic (1982) empower the reader to go places only their imaginations can take them. Ms. Wrede created the junior novelizations of Star Wars: Episode 1: The Phantom Menace 1998) and Star Wars: Episode 2: Attack of the Clones (2002). Recently, a fantasy classic, Sorcery & Cecilia: the Enchanted Chocolate Pot, a book she co-wrote with Caroline Stevermer, was reissued to enthusiastic acclaim. Ms. Wrede lives and works in Minnesota.
