Old Turtle Douglas Wood
Secret of Saying Thanks Nothing to Do

Douglas Wood was born on December 10th. He has written many books for children, including What Dads Can't Do (2000) and What Moms Can't Do (2001). Doug burst onto the scene in 1992 with the wild popularity of Old Turtle, a picture book illustrated by Duluth fine artist Cheng-Khee Chee, and originally published in Minnesota. This book was followed by Old Turtle and the Broken Truth in

Wood has been awarded with the IRA Book of the Year, the Minnesota Book Award, Parent's Choice Award, and Storytelling World Award. He's a musician who performs all over the world, a composer, and storyteller, as well as a naturalist and wilderness guide. He lives in northern Minnesota.

His newest books are Nothing to Do and The Secret of Saying Thanks.
