Funny Little Woman Beastly Feast

Once an illustrator wins the Caldecott Medal, he or she becomes known by that work. Illustrator Blair Lent, born on January 20th, is unusual because he not only won in 1973 for his illustrations in The Funny Little Woman but was a Caldecott Honor winner in 1969 for his illustrations in Why the Sun and the Moon Live in the Sky: An African Folktale.
