Dianne E. Gray celebrates her birthday on February 13th, when it's snowy and cold outside, much like the weather in her novel set during the Nebraska School Children's Blizzard, Together, Apart.
Born and raised in rural Nebraska, Dianne's first two novels reflect her love of the prairie.
Her third novel, Tomorrow the River, is set on the Upper Mississippi, where Dianne currently resides and teaches. Together Apart won the Nebraska Book Award.
Each of her first two books are winners of several awards. Holding Up the Earth won the Willa Literary Award, bestowed by Women Writing the West.
With an MFA in creative writing from Hamline University in Saint Paul, Dianne writes a great deal of the time, but she also develops software and visits schools and enjoys the great outdoors.
