Smooth and Rough Lisa Bullard
Trick or Treat on Milton Street You Can Write a Story!

Lisa Bullard was born on August 10th in Waco, Texas, one of three children. Her father worked as the editor of several small-town newspapers and when Lisa was quite small her family moved to Minnesota. They lived in several cities, including Bemidji and Mankato. Wherever they were, Lisa was a familiar face at the public library. She read a great deal. Lisa graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead and then went on to work for sixteen years in publicity and marketing for several publishers. Eventually, she decided she would rather write and promote her own books. With a natural curiosity, she enjoys writing both nonfiction and fiction. Her Animal Opposites series was given a Teachers' Choice Award in 2007. Both Not Enough Beds and Trick-or-Treat on Milton Street are big favorites with kids when she visits schools. Her most recent book is You Can Write a Story! a story-writing recipe for kids which has caused more than a few teachers to say "I'm going to use this in my classroom." That's a natural reaction because Lisa has been teaching this approach in classrooms for several years. She lives in a white house on the corner in Minneapolis with her two cats. Read more about Lisa ...
