Born on September 8th, Michael Hague, illustrator of many children's classics, began working as an illustrator for Hallmark Cards and Current, Inc. It was then that he was asked to illustrate Jane Yolen's Dream Weaver (1979) and from then on Hague illustrated classics from The Wind in the Willows (1980) to The Wizard of Oz (1982) and also original stories.
