Provide a means of communication for the many groups and individuals involved in the children's literature field;

Raise awareness of children's books, book creators, and resources;

Offer encouragement to our members with information and public outreach;

Offer educational opportunities to our members; and,

Encourage more children and young adults to read more books by working with the adults in our communities on reading, writing, and literacy projects.
