Typical photo size is 408 pixels wide. Sending a larger photo is fine, a smaller photo presents problems. Don't worry, we can resize the larger photo, crop it, improve the lighting ... you just take the photo and send us the identifying information ... we'll take care of the rest.

Here's what you need to know to submit photos:

1. In the text area of your e-mail, please include your name, give us a potential caption for the photo identifying the people in it (if you know their names), the location, event, purpose ... whatever will help the viewer understand what's going on in the photo. Feel like being clever? Go ahead.

2. When you click on the link below, an e-mail window will pop up. Type in the info in #1 above, attach your digital photo (or photos) (a jpg image is preferable, and it should be at least 408 pixels wide), and send the e-mail as you would any other. 

3. By submitting the photo, you grant Children's Literature Network the right to display (post online) it on the website. You agree that CLN can crop, edit, or alter the photo and text, only as necessary to fit the page or style of the website. The decision whether to use the photo and caption is solely that of Children's Literature Network.

4. By submitting the photo, you certify that you are the photographer and sole copyright owner of this photo and text, and have obtained the consent of all identifiable persons shown in it for these uses. You understand that Children's Literature Network has the sole discretion to use or not use any photo. You also understand that all photos must conform to the standards set above.
